With the provincial and federal governments offering rebates on upgrades to improve energy efficiency on homes and businesses, now is the correct time to invest in an energy audit to determine where you are losing your money.
Rebates can be as much as $10,000 for homes in Ontario. This can be used for an upgrade on a furnace or an improvement on insulation.
Natural resources Canada will provide financial incentives of up to 25% of project costs to a maximum of $50,000 per application and $250,000 per corporate entity to help small and medium sized industrial facilities implement energy saving projects.
This incentive has been extended to March 31st 2012.
The Ontario government feed in tariff has also been included to provide and incentive for potential solar customers.
(Ircan has just recently become a nrcan (Natural resources Canada) service organisation certified to provide energy audits in the state of Ontario)
The process for the rebate takes four stages.
The pre upgrade assessment
The upgrade
The post-upgrade assessment
The rebate processing
